These are out of order, but that's ok. Since we were going to be gone for Memorial Day weekend, I couldn't put the traditional potted flowers at Chris's and Clark's graves. So we had to do mums this year.
Lucy cracks me up. She is the keeper of all the things and her backpack stuffed to the absolute brim had me laughing. She was all packed to go stay at the Perry's for the weekend while the adults went on our big hike. I think the icing on the cake for me is her baby precariously hanging off the back and bottom of the backpack. Ha!
We met my mom and Dave at the cemetery to do our traditional headstone clean up. And Sadie had her traditional picture at her daddy Chris's grave.
This school year was a doozy for Steve full of a lot of stress. I caught him napping after he had finished mowing the lawn one evening.
She was so proud of her all teal outfit!
Happy Mother's Day to me!
We were able to see the Northern Lights from our house which I'm not sure has ever happened before. It was hard to see with the naked eye, but if you put your phone on portrait setting, you could capture the colors a lot better.
Dinners on the patio resumed after a really long winter.
Emma got to pick out some new glasses.
Sadie is driving with her permit and it's been a learning experience for all of us!
Sadie entered a piano scholarship competition and was thrilled to win 3rd place in her age group. She got a $100 gift card to Piano Gallery and she is excited to go pick out some "fun" music to play. She went in with zero expecations so to win an award was super exciting. She played "Military Polonaise" by Chopin and "Claire de Lune" by Debussy.
It snowed in May and I was really upset about it. I took this picture one morning on my way to work.
That's it for May!
